Neoprene Picnic Rug
Made by Murph and Murph these picnic rug are made from neoprene and cushioned with rubber.
- Lightweight, waterproof and quick to dry.
- Another benefit is that grass, leaves and hair don't stick to it as much as other textiles.
- These rugs are very versatile and can be used for anything from outdoor concerts, picnics, the beach and swimming lessons to winter sports, sheltering from the rain or wrapping yourself up at chilly events.
The artwork was created in collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from St Catherines Dandjoo Darbalung program. Incorporating Aboriginal perspectives lead by Dandjoo Darbalung students, St Hilda's staff and students interwove a narrative that represents belonging and family.
